The Oxilayer PDF Invoice app was designed with the intention of seamlessly integrating into Shopify and to be accessible as quickly as possible when you need to print documents.

Printing PDF

When it's time to print documents, the PDF printer is directly accessible from the Shopify order list page. You have the option to select multiple orders and print them in bulk.

Additionally, you can also print single orders from the order view page. Similarly, with order drafts, you have the option to print them from the draft list or draft view page.

Once you have customized the PDF templates and configured the settings according to your requirements, it is no longer necessary to open the app. You can simply use the printer page only.

On the printer page, you will be able to choose the types of documents and select the specific orders or drafts to print. If you need a different template, you can easily change the template directly in printer.

When you're ready, just click the "Print" button, and a PDF file will be generated. For more detailed information about the functionality of the PDF printer, please refer to the "How PDF Printer Works" article.

Oxilayer PDF template editor

The app includes Oxilayer PDF template editor. It is specifically designed for creating e-commerce documents such as invoices, quotes, shipments, and more. The editor is user-friendly, based a drag-and-drop interface that requires no programming knowledge.

A PDF template is constructed using various elements. The following elements are available in Oxilayer editor :

• text
• shape
• image
• item table
• total
• tracking table
• QR code
• barcode
• page number

These elements can be freely moved around the page, allowing you to create beautiful and unique templates that match with your brand.

Additionally, the app provides four different designs for each document type, which are already included. If you find any of these designs appealing, you can simply modify the logo and store details to quickly get started.

The PDF template editor is seamlessly integrated within the app, opening in fullscreen mode. This means you can conveniently access and edit your templates without leaving your Shopify store.

Flexible configuration

Another advantage of the Oxilayer PDF Invoice app is its flexibility. It enables you to create multiple templates and configure them to be used based on different order/draft data. This means you can set dependencies in the template configuration, and if they match with the order/draft data, the printer will automatically select the appropriate template. Multiple dependencies are available, including:

• payment method
• shipping method
• customer tags
• order tags
• draft tags
• fulfillment location
• market
• customer locale

Moreover, together with a possibility to change templates in printer, the app can be used for many different cases.

Security and privacy

We do not store orders, drafts, or customer data on our servers to minimize security risks. The app is designed to collect only necessary data when an order or draft is imported into the printer for printing. The imported data is retained for a period of 15 minutes and then promptly flushed from the database.

Delivering invoice to customer

Our app offers a convenient solution for automatically delivering invoices or other documents to customers after their purchase. It generates secure PDF links that can be included in Shopify emails and sent to customers. The app includes a PDF link generator that helps you create PDF links and add them to your emails.
